1 – I survived that lil old “hefty” half marathon that I told you about. I’ll have an actual race report in a few days, but I can tell you that it was more like going for a steep hike with a few places to run. I had fun, but it surely was challenging. I’m looking forward to more trail races in my future, but probably more runable ones. Any who, all in all, a good time was had by all and it was nice to road trip with friends. Although a few of us may have decided that we’re no longer doing races with the words endurance or mountain in them…..
2 – Because of said half marathon, this weeks training should be pretty interesting. When you consider that I”m walking a bit like an 80-year-old, I suspect that I may need to change things up a little bit in order to get them all in. While today is not a swim day, I fully intend to make it one as it seems that it might be best for the sake of my quads. Hopefully I can resume biking tomorrow. Speaking of biking, we were at the Saratoga Battlefield again on Saturday for loops and miles. The weather was beautiful and so was the scenery, so I’m sharing!
