{Do} Something…

In lieu of a normal Tuesday post…. Boston is heavy on my mind.  My heart is still broken.  Broken for all of those runners, those families, those spectators, those innocent people who did nothing more than go out and do something they love on a beautiful Monday.  Every time I see a news report, I tear up.  I think about the people who were standing there in the finish line area.  They were spectators.  They were friends and family.  They were the supporters that we all long to have out there on the race course cheering us in.  I can’t imagine …

So for today, I only think about what we can do to honor those who were lost and injured yesterday.  I know that I plan to run 4.09 miles, the time that was on the clock when the bombs went off.  I know that others are wearing race shirts to show their support.  Or pause and be kind to a stranger.  Whatever you do, do something.

“Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that.” – Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
