Happy Thanksgiving!!!! Today’s the day, it’s turkey day. Because I don’t have my little kiddo to celebrate with today, I’ve lined up lots of other great things to fill my day.
I’m kicking off the day by running the Troy Turkey Trot with some of my bestest peeps. This race is ginormous but as frustrated as I get with the crowds each year, I keep coming back. This will be my third running of the Turkey Trot. I like this as a tradition. It’s nice to start the day doing something active and even a bit festive with friends. Call me what you will but as much as family is important on holidays, I also love spending time with my friends on holidays. I mean, they’re part of my family too!
Later on, I’m going to head out to meet a few more running peeps for a 10 mile run. This will bring me up to my 13 mile long run on the schedule for the week! Why not run 10 miles and really earn the dinner that awaits us? On top of that it is supposed to be 46 and Sunny tomorrow, so I’m excited to take advantage of the nice weather.
And I’ll conclude the day by having Thanksgiving dinner with my foster family, Nate & Melissa. I have a big thank you from the very bottom of my heart to both of you for continually taking me in during both good times and bad. I know that I’m thankful for having incredible friends like you!
