Weekend {Rewind} And a Plea for Help

We had a fantastic weekend.  So much so that I’m just getting around to blogging about it now! C-man and I visited The Children’s Museum of Science and Technology for Fire Prevention Day.  Nothing excites a little boy quite the way that fire trucks do! And there were fire trucks galore, along with a smoke house and much more.  Kudos to all of the firefighters who volunteered their time to educate families on Saturday and put lots of smiles on little kid’s faces.  I know two little boys who had a blast for sure!

On Sunday, C-man and I went to Bowman Orchards to pick some apples.  We didn’t pick a slew of apples since it’s just the two of us, but we did enjoy the beautiful fall weather.  We picked our big bag of apples, wandered around, bought some cider doughnuts and then we finally made our way home.

We did one big run over the weekend and this is where my plea for help comes in.  C is getting big to be pushing in a jogging stroller.  We went six miles and it was quite the workout for this mommy.  I’m wondering if anyone has any tips as to what to do at this stage of the game.  Should I be investing in a better jogging stroller?  He’s only three and  I was hoping to get one more year out of him being in a jogging stroller, but at this point I’m not sure it’s possible.  We have great adventures while on the bike path.  We see and hear all sorts of animals, throw rocks, collect sticks and more.  I’m sad to think that we might not be able to spend this time together.  So I’m wondering how the rest of you do it? Any advice or words of wisdom?
