I have veggies galore. I know, I know, I’ve talked about it before, but I really do love my CSA share that I get each week from Denison Farm. I’m probably loving it so much right now because I’m pretty sure that this coming Saturday will be the last pick up for the season. Tear…… I have to really hand it to them this year. They have had an incredibly tough season with all of the storms and flooding that they’ve been hit with. But at the end of the day, they’re still providing me with food and for that I’m thankful. I’m really going to miss all of this fresh farmed goodness in the coming months. But for tonight, I’m going to attempt to use up some of the veggies that are new to me including my sweet potato greens and my celeriac. Cross your fingers for me!
And my long runs……… Ugh. Okay so there haven’t been that many yet in this marathon training cycle, but I am already skilled at cutting them short. And in some cases I mean drastically short. Like a 12 miler becomes a 6? What is that? That will never get me across that finish line in January! I also am the queen of bailing on a long run if I don’t have someone to do it with. Again….. what is that?! Cool it Fisk-er. (BTW, there’s a shout out to A-Sizzle and her husband for my awesome nickname that seems to have stuck.) This week, I don’t care what it takes, I will finish my long run. Just an fyi, it’s only 9 miles so if I can’t do this, the question becomes what can I do?!
