{Window Wednesday} IMLP

I spent part of Sunday in Lake Placid volunteering for the Ironman race.  It is amazing to see what the human spirit can conquer when you remove the word can’t from your vocabulary.

Bikes in the transition area. A sight to see!

Sarah! Thanks SO much for volunteering and for the congrats at the finish! I was BLOWN AWAY by how amazing all of you volunteers were. you guys seriously got me through that race! and you’re right, it’s so amazing what so many athletes did on Sunday. I was constantly inspired by all of the competitors around me.

Thanks Emily! It was an amazing experience both from a learning experience as a newbie to triathlon and as just being a part of something much bigger than myself.

      Rock on! 🙂

Emily mentioned seeing you. Awesome job volunteering. Did you volunteer so you could sign up for next year or did you just want to do it? I was thinking about doing it for another year since I liked being there so much.

Emily really did awesome! I did not volunteer in order to sign up for next year although that is probably what I will do come 2012. I really just wanted to help out at this fantastic event. And as I said to Emily, it was very rewarding to be a part of something that was so much bigger than me! Congrats to Emily and your whole family!
