1 – Bike day, bike day, it’s get my bike day! My fitting is this afternoon and then I’ll have my bike in my possession. Time to get cracking on a name. I do really think that I’m going to have to ride it a few times before I’ll be able to settle on a name. Again, I am open for suggestions. On another positive bike fitting note, because they could only do the fitting between the hours of 10-4, I had to take a half day off from work. I plan to get my sweat on…… in the pool. Then I’ll head over to the bike shop.
2 – The Ragnar Relay is Friday. Van 1 leaves the start line at 8:00 AM from Bethel Woods Performing Arts Center. I’m in Van 2 so I do get the luxury of sleeping in on Friday rather than having to leave at 4:00 AM (sorry guys!) I have no idea what to think of this race. Such uncharted territory for me! I know exactly what to expect in any road race 5k, 10k, half-marathon, etc. You show up, pin on your bib, run the race, eat some post race goodness and then head home. This thing goes on for over 24 hours. This is a “200-ish” mile adventure. Run, eat, sleep, repeat. I’m not sure how much of the sleeping will actually occur though. And eating……………… well, that’s what I need to get on. What are we doing for food?! Don’t worry I’ll be sure to fill you in on all things Ragnar. Again, it should be an exciting new adventure so we’ll see what comes of it.
