Thanksgiving is less than one week away. What are you thankful for? I have to admit that I don’t spend a lot of time sitting around thinking about exactly what it is that I’m thankful for. However, this year I’ve had some additional thinking time (while running) to ponder some of these things in my life. Right now on this Sunday afternoon I’m thankful for the following three things as they have all been a part of my day today!
1 – My family. They rock. You know who you are. And yes, this includes my running peeps. We’ve had a rough couple of months, but in the end it brings us closer and makes us stronger. Thanks for being you.
2 – Great food! Ha!! In the past year I’ve learned so much about cooking and had the opportunity to learn all of this while hanging out with some great new friends from From Scratch Club. Today alone I’ve made granola, two loves of honey whole wheat sandwich bread, and roasted squash. Yum!
3 – Running with my dog. You all already know how thankful I am for being able to run and having “found” running as the new constant in my life. So rather than dwell on that, let me tell you how much I LOVE running with my dog. It used to drive me crazy. She would zig and I would zag, but we’re finally hitting a rhythm. Last week I took her running on the bike path and we were all along. Just a girl and her dog, running through the leaves. There was something magical there.
