Happy Monday peeps. My official-ish marathon training plan starts today. It’s pretty light on the running except for the long runs since you know, I also need to get serious about triathlon training, what with that Ironman in September. So, there are 3/4 runs days a week with lots of cross training days in the middle. I can’t say how happy I am to be on a plan. It keeps me honest and it’ll get me focused.
I was doing really well with my eating etc, but with the holidays and the birthdays of January that’s fallen off track some. So, it’s time to get on the plan all the way around. And I’m ready. I certainly enjoy the discipline of it all. Anyway, week one consists of two five-mile runs and a twelve. I am not sure I’ll hit twelve as my long run this last weekend was seven, but I’ll get there. I’m finally feeling like I won’t hack a lung out on to the pavement, so I’m hopeful that the run fitness will reappear relatively quickly.
For today, I’m planning how to spend my football winnings from the game last night. Which is relatively funny since I didn’t watch any of the second half. Maybe I’ll start a business?
