{Window Wednesday} Sportsmanship

Here it is in its purest form………..

From four-year olds….. This is my favorite part of each of C-man’s t-ball games.  Yes, it’s t-ball and they don’t keep score and everyone gets a hit, but I think that it’s awesome that they are teaching them good sportsmanship at this very young age.  It’s important.

Good sportsmanship is one of my favorite things about triathlon.  While some people are out there to win the race, most of us are out there to complete a goal.  To finish the race.  So while on the course you constantly hear kind words of encouragement from athlete to athlete.  It’s rare that I pass people but I can tell you that when I do I always tell the other person what a great job they’re doing and to hang in there.  It’s just the way to be.  And I know that when I’m struggling to hang on those few quick words of encouragement help me tremendously.

So to you on this Wednesday, I say “great job. Way to hang in there. And you’ve totally got this.”  Apply it to whatever you’d like……
