Tri-ing – I know I mentioned it yesterday, but I’m doing a sprint tri this weekend at the Southern Saratoga YMCA. And I have to say that, for today at least, I’m super excited!!! The last tri that I did was the Lake George Olympic distance tri last fall. Of course this won’t be the same because it’s an indoor swim, but still I’m excited. I’m excited to see how I feel and to see where my training has taken me. I’m also just excited to toe the line of a race start. And lastly, I’m excited that I’m going to be having fun with a good friend for her birthday celebration. Wahoo! Love it.

Running – I’m not going to go into an excessive amount of detail here, but it is nice to say out loud that I seem to be back running and pain free. I’ve been running for about a month with no pain. (Knock, knock… yep, I just knocked on wood.) Last week I ran an 8 mile long run. While it may not sound like much to you, it’s the longest run that I’ve done since I completed the Disney marathon. So for me, it’s huge. And I’m celebrating!!! By running. As much as my plan allows, and no more. I want to have an entire season injury free so I’m being smart here. Right?…. Right?!…. Right!
